Keep your Go-Pod ready to travel.

Go-Pod coupling, drawbar and jockey wheel

What to take to a service, the areas a workshop should inspect and how to keep a useful maintenance record.

Book a proper caravan service.

The Go-Pod service schedule is organised around an annual inspection. Give the workshop the schedule, your Go-Pod’s year and VIN, and the details of any modifications or problems you have noticed.

The 2025 schedule refers to a Go-Pods dealership or NCC-approved workshop. Confirm the current requirements of any warranty you hold and check that the workshop can service your particular equipment.

What the schedule covers.

  • Chassis and running gear: coupling, breakaway cable, jockey wheel, chassis, wheels, tyres, suspension, brakes and handbrake.
  • 12V and mains systems: lights, battery, connections, protective devices and appliance operation.
  • Body and ventilation: shell condition, window and door seals, side vents, pop-top and signs of water ingress.
  • Water and interior equipment: pump, taps, valves, pipework and the safe condition of additions or modifications.

This is an overview for arranging a service, not a DIY repair procedure. Ask a qualified technician to carry out electrical, gas, brake and other specialist work.

Make the appointment count.

  1. Before the visitWrite down faults, intermittent problems and changes made since the last service. Take equipment manuals and previous service records.
  2. At handoverExplain what is fitted, confirm the scope and agree how the workshop should seek approval for extra work.
  3. AfterwardsKeep the completed schedule and invoices. Record any advisory work and arrange a date to address it.

Between services, stay observant.

Before travelling, check the condition and operation of the items covered in your towing and hitching instructions. A service does not replace checks before a journey, or attention to a new fault.
