Adding solar power to your Go-Pod increases your independence, helps keep your leisure battery in good condition and can even save you money.
This item is included within the Platinum & Venus model's spec.
This powerful, ultra thin 100W panel is unobtrusively fitted to the outside of your pop-top. Permanently wired, there are no settings to worry about, the panels just do their thing - trickle charging your on board leisure battery.
Ideal for extending those trips where you’re not on mains hook-up.
Solar panels can also actually save you money on pitch fees. Selecting a green pitch without electric hook up is not only cheaper but in many coastal sites, they're nearer to the sea.
Ticks alongreview by CamLin Impressed that the solar panel generates enough power to keep the battery topped up, enabling us to wild camp and have essential lights. No maintenance and power for free even on a cloudy day.
Must have item review by Munro Pod Gen This is described as an optional extra however in my opinion it’s an essential piece of kit for the pod. It’s looks after your battery and the battery fires up your pods resources. You need one non negotiable.
The power of the sun or the cloudreview by Mr & Mrs CP The solar panel just sits there and does its own thing. It keeps the battery topped up on our storage site where there is no access to electricity. This means that we don't have to keep taking the battery out to charge it up. For us, another absolutely essential piece of kit. I suppose it is something we take for granted now but, without it, we might have a bit of messing around to keep our battery topped up as we would have to take it out and take it home without this.
Solar energyreview by Nigel & Jan Never had a flat leisure battery yet in our Go Pod Plus. Upgraded to the 100W version as we want to camp off hook up more. Good investment for us.
